A phenominal audience digital master of the opening night for the inaugural "In the Flesh" tour.. This one captures Roger Waters at the Mecca Auditorium in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on July 23, 1999. This is by far one of the best, if not the best sounding show of the entire tour. Just the right amount of audience to give ambience with an incredibly clear capture of the band. It sounds eerily soundboard like for most of the show. This is a strange performance to say the least. "Perfect Sense, P2" has Roger getting hung up on the opening line. Roger also seems to be supressing a good laugh here and there, technical problems getting the better of his perfectionist nature? The presentation of some of the songs is a bit unusual to longtime Waters fans. "The Powers That Be" sounds a bit more funky than usual with some augmented keyboard sound effects. The guitar troops trying to make up for David Gilmour's material do a respectable job replacing a legend. But, when they try to play the parts done by Jeff Beck, the results are definitely more "unique". Lots of strange guitar squaks and such.
